Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

With over 30 years of experience working with children, youth, families, and individuals, I bring extensive knowledge in parenting strategies, behavioral issues, and supporting clients through various life transitions. My 18-year tenure in school districts has fueled my passion for advocating for children whose needs are not being met.

As a Neuro-affirming Registered Professional Counselor (RPC) in good standing with the CPCA, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and professional support. My training includes play therapy, grief counseling, and couples counseling, among various other modality courses and training. I firmly believe in continuous learning and regularly enhancing my skills to better support my clients in managing everyday stressors.

I recognize that everyone has a unique story, and I honour the courage it takes to seek counseling as the first step toward a better sense of self-worth. In my practice, I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Attachment Theory. I also offer neuro-affirming approaches for neurodivergent clients.

My counseling office offers a warm, inviting, non-judgmental, safe space where you can freely share your worries and thoughts. Building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients is paramount to me. I invite you to take the next step and allow me to support you on your journey toward personal growth and healing.
